Bali – Amed & Tulamben
Tulamben & Amed area is a small fishing village on the north-east coast of Bali It is among the most popular dive sites on Bali, with coast black volcanic sand at every site the diverse. The famous USAT Liberty wreck, in lush coral gardens, with the black sand shelf that slopes from 5 to 30 meters. This wreck one of the safest wreck dive in the world. USAT liberty wreck was a United state cargo ship torpedoed by Japanese Marines in January 1942 and beached on the Bali, Tulamben area. It is a beach entry , a few meters from shore. Now this wreck covered by a coral, so many coral and fish species in here, sometimes you can find the large school of big eye trevally, great barracuda and school of Napoleon Wrasse are also possible for lucky divers.
This site is suitable for all level even for beginners, normally there is no current at this site but divers need be aware that strong currents may pick up unexpectedly in high tide or before full moon, so makes the entry and exits so tricky.
